Once again this year, Edel was one of 1.600 exhibitors from 70 countries at the International Sweets and Snacks Fair in Cologne, which was attended by 32.000 trade visitors from all over the world over a total of four days at the beginning of February. And the Donauw\u00f6rth-based company had a number of new products to showcase. From around mid-March, a new bag will be added to the tried-and-tested Edel honey range, this time with a modern, trendy recipe: Manuka Honey Lemon Immune, 80% reduced sugar. The sugar contained comes only from 15% high-quality Manuka honey MGO 300+ from New Zealand, the rest is produced with the sugar substitute isomalt. The finest Spanish organic lemon oil and vitamin C for the immune system round off the mild recipe. More soon in our own news section. Two new packaging variants for the coffee-flavored sweets were also presented: a dispenser box with beans packed in flow packs for individual removal for hotels, conferences, meetings, and institutions, as well as a giveaway at counters, bars, and reception desks. Another new idea was a small, handy, practical 25 g pocket bag (pillow pack) containing coffee beans, which, at 24 pieces per display, is an ideal impulse purchase item in the checkout area of food retailers and gas stations, and will also be available in displays soon.
