Edel at the career compass in Harburg for the first time
This year, Eduard Edel GmbH Confectionery Factory will be represented for the first time at the “Berufswegekompass” career fair in Harburg as a regional employer. On October 21, young people and young adults can visit the company’s booth to learn about the training profession of Confectionery Technologist. The “Berufswegekompass” career fair has been growing in popularity for many years and is expected to set a new record for exhibitors this year. The exhibition space even had to be expanded to meet the increasing demand from companies. The organizers at Eduard Edel Confectionery Factory are therefore all the more pleased to have secured a spot at this year’s event in Harburg. The Eduard Edel GmbH information booth will be located in the Wörnitzhalle (Hall 1) at booth number 10. There, visitors will receive in-depth information and insights into the exciting apprenticeship of a Confectionery Technologist (m/f/d). Most people love delicious sweets or candies—but who actually produces these delightful treats? That’s the job of Confectionery Technologists. They operate and monitor industrial equipment that produces sweets according to specific recipes and standards. Production includes all steps, from raw material preparation and cooking to molding and packaging. Throughout the production process, they regularly ensure the quality of the products through visual checks, smell, and most importantly, taste tests. They also clean and maintain the machinery and contribute to the development of new products. Present at the booth will be the managing directors of Edel GmbH and production supervisors, who will share real-life insights into the profession and the candy-making process at the Donauwörth facility. Eduard Edel Confectionery Factory looks forward to connecting with many young visitors at the event to help secure the next generation—and thus the future of candy production at the site.
